Setting an intention: I want to use this blog as a resource for myself to look back on, and hopefully a resource for others studying Landscape Architecture later.

• There are no natural woodlands in the UK

• As of 2021, 13% of the UK is wooded

• The average woodland is 25% dead matter

• Woodland margins are the most ecologically diverse

• Only 33 truly native trees in the UK

• Rewilding: don't do anything without a plan

• Natural Regeneration: no planting cost, maintenance costs
