Putting research to use

Crime and anti-social behavior are an issue- what makes a space safe? What does safety feel like? I ask around the classroom and sketch what my colleagues share.

This will be a challenge because the riverfront is so expansive. Despite this, I believe safety makes or breaks an experience.

As a young woman who grew up in a fairly dangerous city, I know that if you don't feel safe as a user, you're likely not going to engage with a space at all.

Could glass bottles be reused for something productive, rather than just a trace of ASB broken on the ground.
